As the intelligence officer for A-Tac, a black-ops CIA unit masquerading as Ivy League faculty, Hannah Marshall is used to working behind the scenes. But when a brutal murder hits too close to home, Hannah finds herself in the middle of the action, falling in love while racing to outwit a sadistic mastermind.
A KILLER CLOSES INAfter the death of her A-Tac partner, Hannah doubts everything she thought she knew about love and loyalty. When handsome Harrison Blake joins the team, she's reluctant to trust him - or to act on her intense attraction to him. Then Hannah receives a podcast of a gruesome murder, and the only person who can help her find the killer is Harrison.
My thoughts
Harrison has spent years
trying to hunt down the cunning monster who murdered his sister. Now on
an investigation with new partner Hannah, he faces a shocking
possibility - his sister's murderer has resurfaced. As the danger
escalates, Hannah and Harrison grow closer, the desire simmering between
them ignites. And when Hannah disappears, Harrison has only one chance
to save the woman he loves.
Hannah Marshall is part of a secret CIA team called A-Tac. They are trying to get a person when all hell breaks. She is under fire and can't reach her team; afraid that they are all gone. Making it to the roof, Hannah finally sees Harrison Blake. He reaches for her hand... Their cover is that they are professors at a collage. Hannah's TA shows her a video that was sent to her, and she takes it to Harrison who is the computer guy of the group. At first they believe it's a prank, until there is a student missing. They talk to the roommate and the boyfriend, they don't find much. The sparks are flying between Hannah and Harrison. Hannah has never trusted anyone before and doesn't know if she should trust Harrison. When he tells her somethings from his past she is amazed that he is opening up to her. When things happen that have Hannah in the killers hands will Harrison be able to save her?
I love how this book begins right with the action! It gets you into it immediately and doesn’t let you go! Harrison is brave and there is something that makes you want to hold him; when he talks about his past you feel his pain, and the same is about Hannah. Hannah acts like she is a tough but she just needs someone to love her. After what she has been though she needs a strong man to give her everything he has.
This is the first book I have read from Dee Davis and I will be reading more. She makes you fall in love with her characters from page one!
