 TEMPT THE DARKNESS

Strong-willed and independent, Paisley Nichols is used to taking care of herself. But when an insane mage begins tracking her every move and threatening her at every turn, she has no choice but to put her life in the hands of a demon.

RISK THE PASSION

Burned by betrayal, demon assassin Iskander won't get too close to anyone. He spends his days serving his warlord and his nights indulging in carnal pleasures . . . and that's exactly how he likes it. But when a mage wages a wrenching psychic assault on his beautiful tenant Paisley, Iskander must defend her. Under his protection, she will be drawn irresistibly into his life and learn about her own mysterious powers. And not a moment too soon. The mage haunting her isn't acting alone-and he won't rest until he destroys both Paisley and Iskander.

My thoughts
Paisley Nichols is working when a handsome man she has seen in her bakery before comes in. She smiles at him and he smiles back He returns later to ask Paisley out for a coffee and introduces himself as Rasmus Kessler; when he touches her wrist though she pulls back in pain. Later that night when Paisley is home, she feels like she is dying. Her landlord, Iskander, can feel that there is someone magical on his piece of property and he heads over to investigate. Before allowing Paisley to move into the room above his garage he checked her and she was normal then, but now there is something different in her. Helping her through the magic he removes her memories and takes it away, when he finds out who is messing with Paisley though, he wants to help her even if it costs him is life.

This book is so good; I love how it switches between the characters. It keeps you wanting more and not wanting to put it down. There are parts where you want to scream at Iskander because he is holding so much back from Paisley. I know that this book is part of a series, but it can be read alone. I loved it! If you start it you aren't going to put it down.
